Red Carpet Ready For TIFF With The Stylist Box

Preparing to attend the Stylist Suite, I anticipated the VIP treatment. When I arrived at the Trump International Hotel & Tower, I was escorted to a private elevator that lead me to the private residences. From there I had to take another private elevator to the penthouse, 54th floor. Talk about security. Before long I arrived at The Stylist Suite, a celebrity styling lounge and fashion showroom. Founded by Christian Dare and Gail McInnes of Stylist Box, it really is an inventive PR move to get brands a buzz. It also creates a platform for celebrities to support Canadian designers.  Let’s be honest, the question most asked on the red carpet is—who are you wearing? Hopefully one of Canada’s own.

Sizing and shoes might be your only hiccup if you were a celebrity visiting the lounge. Designers like Narces and Hilary MacMillan brought out pieces from current and past collections in limited sizes. New for men this year, Finezza – Au nom de l’Homme’s custom suit jackets are available off-the-rack if you’re lucky enough to fit it.

Celebrities can accessorize with a bow guard cuff, or stingray collars and clutches by Huntress for a whimsical look. Or if they rather, be adorned with Swarovski crystals from Atelier by MMCrystal to add some sparkle to their red carpet look.

Red carpet ready from head-to-toe is the concept of the Stylist Box, so it wouldn’t be complete without a beauty bar and anti-aging beauty products from Iampure. Vegan nail polish and manicures are provided by MOOV Cosmetics.

Guests can relax in the lounge with exclusive Ontario wines provided by Pour Niagara, a wine and craft beer delivery service that offers unique wines from the Niagara region that can’t be found at the LCBO. Usually wineries that only make small-batches of wine cannot be distributed by LCBO, so Pour brings the best of Niagara to you.

They can also unwind with complimentary games of ping pong provided by SPiN Toronto, while snacking on ThreeWorks apple chips and unique popcorn flavours from Toronto Popcorn Company—I recommend the sour cream and chive flavour.

Celebrity guests to the lounge walk away with products and services valued up to as much as $12,000!

See you on the red carpet.
